In writing we are writing mystery stories. To practice our reading and try out a new genre of presentation, we made our stories into podcasts. Podcasts are a new, popular way to share information, teach about a topic, or have an old-fashioned radio show. We learned a lot with this first attempt at a podcast, and our work has been AMAZING. The students' job was to write a mystery story about the morning when Principal Martin's coffee mug went missing. Take a listen to our work! We hope you enjoyed listening! Harris Burdick was the name of an author who went to a publisher with ideas for 13 stories. For each story all he brought was an illustration from the story and a quote from the story. The publisher loved all of the ideas, and asked Harris Burdick to bring all of the stories in their entirety to be published. Harris Burdick agreed to return the next day, but...he never returned. Not the next day or the day after or even the week after. He never returned, and despite the publisher's efforts, Harris Burdick was never seen or heard of again. These are our versions of some of the Harris Burdick stories. The Uninvited Guests: The Harp: Mr. Linden's Library: Captain Tory: A Strange Day In July:
